Water Polo Heart-Stopper at Moana Pool

It was a night to remember for our Water Polo team as they were crowned the Otago Secondary School Water Polo Champions after an incredibly tense final against St Hilda’s Collegiate.

In a match that truly tested the grit and composure of our players, the lead-up to the final whistle was a nail-biter. For much of the game, things weren't quite going our way, and the team found themselves chasing the score. However, showing the determination Otago Girls' is known for, the players fought back to level the score, forcing the game into a penalty shootout.

The atmosphere at Moana Pool was electric, with loud cheers from our dedicated supporters echoing around the stands.

A huge congratulations to the entire squad for their perseverance and teamwork. We would also like to extend a very special "thank you" to our coach and alumna, Ella Steel. We are incredibly lucky to have Ella sharing her expertise and passion for the sport; her leadership has been instrumental in this success.
