Introducing our Head of School Council Prefect
Rana Alsharif
Kia ora, it’s wonderful to connect with you all here! My name is Rana, and I am honoured to serve as the Head of School Council for 2026.
This role is not just a title, but a responsibility I take seriously. As Head of School Council, I will be leading a team of students selected from each year level to represent the wider student body. The School Council is here to make sure that student voices are heard and valued. I want every student to feel comfortable reaching out to me and engaging with the Council, knowing that their input matters. Don’t hesitate to share your ideas with us throughout the year, so that your voice contributes to the discussions and decisions at the Council meetings.
A bit about me: I have been a member of the School Council for three years now, and it has been an incredible experience. During that time, I have always been the one filling out the application forms, eager to contribute and make a difference in our school community. This year is a new experience for me, as I now have the chance to read the applications and welcome new students to the team, which I’m really excited about. Outside of the Council, I play badminton and particularly enjoy Speechfest.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to apply for the Council position. We’ve received over 120 applications. It’s fantastic to see so many students eager to have their voices heard and contribute to shaping our school in a meaningful way. I’m really looking forward to working alongside this year’s team. Can’t wait to get started!
