Year 9 and 10 Students had the opportunity to begin exploring careers as part of their Social Studies Unit, “World of Work”.

It was great to see students engaging with the exhibitors and asking lots of insightful questions about future work, training or study in these organisations. Students were able to find out about voluntary work abroad, apprenticeship opportunities, future study at the Otago University or Polytechnic as well as work opportunities in a range of different community organisations. A big thanks to our wonderful exhibitors who supported this event. Exhibitors were: Otago University, Otago Polytech, BCITO, MITO, Primary ITO, DCC, Dive Otago, Harrington Vaughan, NZ Defence Force, NZ Police, NZ School of Tourism, SDHB, Te Rito Maioha, Latitude Global Volunteering.
