Daffodil Day Brings Sunshine and Support
Otago Girls' High School was a vibrant sea of yellow and floral as we proudly supported the Cancer Society's annual Daffodil Day Street Appeal today. Our students and staff truly embraced the spirit of giving, coming together to make a significant contribution to this vital cause.
The day kicked off with our dedicated students out in the community, collecting donations for the Cancer Society. Back at school, the hallways buzzed with a fun, yellow-themed non-uniform day, where students generously donated a gold coin to participate.
Our Prefect team went above and beyond to make the day special. They sold daffodil badges and decorated the school, spreading a bright and optimistic vibe. The fun didn't stop there! Our Public Relations Prefects, Frances and Kate, organised an engaging scavenger hunt that had students exploring the school grounds with enthusiasm.
Lunchtime was a treat for everyone, thanks to the Prefects who arranged for some fantastic food trucks to visit. Students were delighted to purchase delicious treats from Mr Whippy, the Churro truck, and a curly fries truck, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to a meaningful day.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated, participated, and helped organise such a successful Daffodil Day. Your generosity helps support those affected by cancer in our community.
