On Wednesday, we headed out to King's to take part in Pacific Voices - a celebration of public speaking. This competition originated at Otago Girls' and has been a wonderful event on the school calendar for our Pasifika fano across Otago. Representing Otago Girls' were Mia Tavake and Fraces Tuigamala in the junior section and Eleanor Dean and Siosiana Mau in the senior section. Our students spoke warmly and with sophistication about their identities as students of Pasifika families and the strengths in breaking through barriers. Congratulations to Mia Tavake who earned a well-deserved second place in the junior English section. We are very proud of you all.
