We hope your daughter has enjoyed her first week at Otago Girls’ High School. We are delighted with how quickly the girls have settled into classes, whanau groups and school routines.

Our orientation programme for Year 9 will conclude with an overnight camp which will be held at Tirohanga Camp at Mosgiel. The purpose of the camp is to provide further opportunity for the development of friendships between the girls and to build on the Peer Support Programme with the Year 13 students acting as mentors for the Year 9 girls.

The Camp will also provide an introduction to our outdoor education programme. The girls will learn how to put up tents, master confidence courses and learn some basic outdoor safety. They will also participate in a day’s walk at Outram Glen.

Letters have been issued to students with full details and consent forms. The last day for payment is 21 February.
