As a part of Year 11 Enterprise, the students pitched a charity organisation to look at financial decision-making relating to the putake of the business. The ākonga chose the Royal Albatross Colony and the Otago Peninsula Trust which manages the centre. While out there Hoani Langbury talked through the decisions he was going to report to the board on the possible investment in a vehicle and the finances of the trust. We also got to have a look at the albatross chicks and went to the disappearing gun. All in all the enrichment was a fantastic thing for the students- getting to see how an organisation is led by its vision statement and how they reach its goals.
