During lockdown it was difficult to keep the School Council running as our team couldn’t gather.

But myself and my fellow School Council Prefects, Alleanna Salvador and Rachel O’Kane saw the opportunity to persevere and came up with the idea of holding an “Isolation Bingo” competition on the OGs/OBs prefects’ Instagram page. This competition ran for a week and we had countless entries as the students were excited to partake in a school competition. With house competitions postponed it was good to give the girls an opportunity for some friendly, fun competition. The Instagram page initiated by the prefects helped us to reach a wide range of the students and made it accessible and easy to take part. The School Council is looking forward to the next project for us to work on as our team meetings are now back underway. Well done to our winners Grace Roesler, Annsen Senchy, and Kelsey Thorne who received carefully picked vouchers from the local businesses Beam Me Up Bagels, Kind Grocer and Vull Designs. It was important to us that we helped support local businesses in this trying time and hope others do the same.
