Last Thursday, Year 9 Japanese had the privilege of going down to Sushi Mall and ordering sushi in Japanese. We used this structure:

Konnichiwa, kore o kudasai / (food) o kudasai
(Hello, this please/ (food) please).

This outing allowed us to practice speaking in a real-life situation and use the vocabulary and phrases we had been learning in class. It was also a great opportunity to practice ordering food in Japanese and put our communication skills to use. We all had a fantastic time, ordering food and eating it.
