Geology activities

Mrs C Beaman, Science —

Heading down to the University was a fantastic way to celebrate a great year in Science. About 90 students rotated through various activities. They measured earthquake vibrations on a cell phone, created meteor craters and identified microscopic fossils from 400 million years ago. Some managed to successfully gold pan from St Bathans sediments and take some gold home! Thanks so much to the wonderful outreach Geology Department.
