On Friday 12 August the OGHS international students attended the Mayoral Welcome for Dunedin's international students at the Edgar Centre. This used to be an annual event so it was very nice to re-establish this event. The King's and Queen's kapa haka group He Waka Kōtuia welcomed the group. The mayor spoke to the group about their importance in Dunedin and what Dunedin offers to many people from around the country and the world. It was a great opportunity for the students to meet students from other Dunedin schools. We all look forward to the number of international students growing in our community.
