Year 9 Wellbeing Day

Mrs S. Porter, Assistant Principal —

Tuesday 12 March 8:50am to 3pm.

All Year 9 students will be involved in a Wellbeing Day on Tuesday 12 March. This is also the day when Student Learning Conferences are happening for students in Years 10 to 13, so normal timetabled classes are cancelled. Wellbeing is a factor that contributes to students’ success and achievement. One of our strategic focus areas is related to enhancing students’ wellbeing, so we are trying to foster the skills and dispositions students need to preserve their wellbeing.

Year 9 students should meet in the school Hall at 8:50am, when detailed instructions for the day will be given. A range of activities are planned, including Yogalates, Positive Psychology, interactive games and skills for maintaining positive relationships. All girls should wear comfortable mufti that is suitable for fitness activities. The girls will be divided into their House groups and the activities will take place in various locations around the school. Please note that school will finish at 3pm on 12 March. The canteen will still be operating on this date.
