Year 10 Social Studies students have had a fantastic start to their i - Time programme.

“Speak Up! Be Heard!” is the theme for Term One with the focus on Human Rights. Students will be involved in a variety of activities to motivate their thinking and to stimulate interest on this topic. Our classes are scheduled to visit Dunedin Art Gallery and Toitu Early Settlers Museum. They will also complete a central Dunedin Human Rights walk and engage in Power Lessons (mini lecture style about an Human Rights issues). All students will be completing a Human Rights project on a topic of their choice.

This week 10Ptr visited Toitu Early Settlers Museum. They looked at the roles of women in New Zealand and how these roles have changed through time.
