Year 10 Camps

Ms J. Nielson, Year 10 Dean —

4 to 8 December

All Year 10 students have been placed into a camp and weekly camp meetings have begun. It is important that all students attend the meetings, as a lot of important information will be given. Consent forms have been issued and these should be completed and returned to the office, outlining all medical information and contact details.

All camps require students to have a good quality raincoat, thermal layers and walking shoes. Gear checks will be occurring in camp meetings. It would be helpful if students started sourcing these items now. Raincoats and tramping packs can be hired from the school.

Camp deposits of $100 should already have been paid and the final contribution is due on Monday 27 November. The total contribution for camp is $265. If financial assistance is required to cover this contribution, please contact our guidance counsellor, Ada Crowe, phone 4719729.

Year 10 camp is a highlight of the year and we are looking forward to building memories and skills for life. To ensure all students have an enjoyable time, we strongly encourage that they build their cardiovascular fitness by going for regular walks or runs.

If you have any concerns regarding camp, please contact Jo Nielson at school: ni@otagogirls.school.nz
