Ms C. Hokianga, Sports Co-ordinator —

Hi to you all from my Harwood bubble. As we are yet to start assemblies, and until we do, I will try and keep you updated with what will be happening with winter sports. Before we finished school for the term, we had some sports results to report.

Congratulations go to:

Naima Woodrow who competed in the Otago aerobics qualifier and international trial; Naima was one of eight competitors who attained qualifying scores for the National Championships in Auckland.

Destiny Stewart was selected for the Mainland South BMX Team (the only Dunedin BMX member) along with other riders from Southland, Alexandra and Cromwell who raced against Canterbury over the BMX season and won. Destiny also made it to the final on her 20” bike and was placed 6th.

Sarah Dixon was placed third at the Mosgiel Interschool equestrian competition. Sarah has also been selected into the New Zealand U17 Equestrian Team that will travel to Edinburgh, Scotland to compete in August.

Congratulations to Becky de la Harpe who was placed 6th in the Intermediate girl’s section at the South Island Secondary Schools' Triathlon event held in Oamaru.
