We received some exciting news last week that (ex-student) Sophia Niblock (2021) has won the Progear "Our People" National Black & White Portrait Photography Competition.

This is a bi-annual competition and last year there were 270 entries from secondary students all over New Zealand

Sophia entered the competition as a Year 13 Photography student but the end date for the competition got pushed out because of Covid. Sophia has won a Nikon camera and twin lens kit and the second part of the prize is a photography lighting kit for the school valued at $1962.00.
