CONGRATULATIONS

Softball – Congratulations to the following students who have been selected for the Otago Softball U17 Team - Jasmine Hill, Soliana Freeman, Emma Pain, Benka Page-Smith.

Netball – Congratulations to the following students who have been selected for the 2023 Southern Zone Netball Steel to Steps Accelerator programme - Giselle Hagan, Ryleigh Makiiti, Teuila Tasi-Cordtz, Anabelle Batchelor and Praise Hola.

Rowing - Congratulations to the rowing team who had outstanding results from the Otago Secondary School Indoor Rowing Champs held on Saturday 5 November and from the Otago Secondary Schools Rowing Regatta held on Sunday 6 November.

Hockey - Congratulations to Grace Leckie-Zaharic who was selected to trial for the U16 NZ Hockey Team.

The OGHS Sports Policies booklet can be found online on the Sports website and outside Ms Hokianga’s office. Please familiarise yourself with our Sports Policies especially around behaviour at sporting events when representing OGHS.

SUMMER SPORTS

Summer sports are now starting to get underway so please make sure to check your school emails, daily school notices and the sports websites for updates. Online sports registrations are to be completed if you are playing summer sports. These can be found on the Sports website. Fees for your chosen sport need to be paid.

WINTER SPORTS UNIFORMS AND OGHS TRACKSUITS

Maybe it is also time to look under your bed, in your wardrobes and in your drawers for the OGHS sports uniforms. There are still quite a few outstanding winter uniforms and OGHS tracksuits. Please make sure these are clean and HAND THESE IN TO Ms Hokianga.
