Wairua Pūhou’s performance at Otago Polyfest last night was different because there were no crowds, just a few loyal old WP members and helpers, but it was still really enjoyable. We would like to thank the team at Otago Polyfest for going ahead with the event and live streaming it. We had whanau in Australia beaming in so it was nice to get some comments from them. Wairua Pūhou would like to thank our helpers who came in to do make up and tā moko. We have to put a shout out to Dr Karyn Paringatai and her team from Te Tumu at Otago University for helping with piupiu. Special mention to Gabby Liddell who ran a well organised and tight costume ship. While we weren’t able to perform live for our whanau and friends, we’d like to congratulate Otago Polyfest for delivering a totally well organised and professional show.
