OGHS PTSA
The OGHS Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) held its AGM on Wednesday evening, and it was wonderful to see such a great turnout of both existing and new members. Our PTSA is a group of dedicated parents, whānau, school staff, and student representatives who are passionate about supporting OGHS and helping students succeed. It was very evident at the AGM just how much this group contributes to the school community.
Through the generosity of your donations and the hard work of the PTSA, funds raised help ensure students have opportunities to participate in a wide range of activities, including sporting exchanges and tournaments, cultural events, academic endeavours, and other school events such as library day, production, and prizegivng.
A huge thank you to the families and whānau who have already paid their PTSA donation for the year. Your generosity makes a real difference, and without it, we simply wouldn’t be able to support as many opportunities for students.
If you’re considering joining the PTSA, it’s not too late! You are always welcome to come along to a meeting whenever it suits you. You can be involved at whatever level feels comfortable, whether that’s helping at an event, sharing ideas, or simply staying connected with what the PTSA is doing.
We have some wonderful and ambitious goals for the year ahead, particularly around fundraising initiatives, and as the saying goes, many hands make light work.
