Spreading Easter Cheer
On Wednesday, our School Council and Community Services Prefect, Lily Sikora, led a group of student volunteers on a meaningful mission to deliver Easter baskets across our city. The group visited three local rest homes and spent time with patients in both the children’s ward and Ward 8 at Dunedin Hospital. While the baskets were a small token of the season, the true highlight for our students was the opportunity to sit and chat with residents, listening to their stories and sharing a few laughs.
This initiative is a long-standing tradition here at OG's, and it remains a humbling reminder of the importance of intergenerational connection. We are incredibly grateful to our school families whose kind donations made these gifts possible; your generosity allows our students to step out into the community and give back in such a personal way. Thank you for helping us keep this tradition alive and for supporting our students as they learn the value of service and companionship.
