This Monday 13 June was the annual Big Sing event and the choir performed at Knox Church alongside 12 other choirs as part of the Otago and South Canterbury regional competition.

The choir performed two pieces during the adjudicated afternoon session: He's Gone Away, an American folk song, and Whakaaria Mai. 

In the evening as part of the gala concert they performed Whakaaria Mai again.

Whilst the choir did not win an award it was a very enjoyable event and the choir performed well. It was also good to have the opportunity to perform to an audience and hear choirs from other schools. With many rehearsal sessions outdoors and disrupted due to COVID, the event was a celebration of choral music and a chance to see their hard work over several weeks come together for the performance.
