Ashley Dickinson - Early Childhood on Stafford

For the past few weeks, I have been working at Early Childhood On Stafford where I am learning about early childhood education and how to care for children. I have learnt many useful skills to do with caring for children such as different techniques for managing behavioural challenges. I have also furthered my Te Reo Maori by doing a karakia before every meal and also using Maori words when describing things to the children. I am learning how to lead activities for the children during mat time which has been a good challenge for me coming up with different activities that the children will be able to engage in and enjoy doing.
