OMAthlon Competition

Mrs J Cole - HOD Mathematics —

Last night, the Edgar Centre buzzed with mathematical energy as seven of our junior teams competed in the Junior OMAthlon Competition, a fun and fast-paced event run by the Otago Mathematics Association. Our Year 9 and 10 students put their mathematical skills to the test, working together to solve a range of challenging problems against the clock. It was fantastic to see so many of our students with positive attitudes, giving it their all and showing great sportsmanship throughout the evening.

This exciting event for our junior students follows on from the Senior OMAthlon Competition held last week at Logan Park High School. We had four senior teams take on this challenging event, which proved to be a great test of their skills. They had a great time working through the problems and represented our school brilliantly.

It is truly inspiring to see so many of our students so enthusiastic about getting involved in these exciting and challenging events which provide such a great opportunity for our students to put their skills to the test in a fun environment.
