Congratulations

The Senior A, Senior B, 10A and 9A netball team took part in the Otago Secondary School Netball Tournament which was held at the Edgar Centre Sunday the 12th and Monday the 13th June. The Senior A and B teams were placed 4th and the Year 10A team were placed 1st in their grade, the Year 9A team competed well and gained some valuable experience.

Naima Woodrow has been selected to represent Otago at the New Zealand Gymnastics Nationals in July in Aerobics ADP4 and Aerodance.

Rosie Falcous (Year 11) has been named in the 12-person Junior Black Fins team to compete at the Lifesaving World Championships in Italy in September.

Giselle Hagan  has been chosen in the New Zealand U16 Touch Squad.

Good luck to Catherine Lund who is representing Otago Girls’ High School at the New Zealand Cross Country Championships being held in Nelson this weekend. We will all be cheering for you Catherine.

Just a few things to remember when turning up and representing Otago Girls’ High School at sporting events. Please remember to remove all jewellery and to wearing our sports uniforms with pride. You are all amazing and we are seeing amazing results from all our sport teams. Guideline policies can be found in our sports policy booklet which is online on the Sports page.

Please note: There is no basketball Friday 24 June and no netball Saturday 25 June due to Matariki weekend. 

Wednesday morning Fun, Fitness & Food

Wednesday morning fitness is now on, and this is held in the school gym, 7am-8am. Great for winter sports teams or if you just want to work on your general fitness. It would be good to see some more of our sports teams utilizing this fitness session for their sports.
