Cailyn McConnell - Early Childhood on Stafford

For my Gateway work placement, I decided to do Early Childhood Teaching. Every Friday I go to ECOS (Early Childhood on Stafford) and spend most of the day outside playing tag, hide and seek etc. I also help and encourage the children in things they may not usually do. During the four weeks that I have been doing my work placement at ECOS, I have created relationships with not only the children but the teachers as well. I also reflect on teaching practices and the importance of changing environments to support children learning. It is a great feeling to walk into the centre in the morning and have the children run up and give me a hug, a smile and say good morning. I look forward to going back next week and learning more about what Early Childhood Teaching has to offer while having fun as well.
