Wearable Arts

Miss H. Sutherland, Wearable Arts Co-ordinator —

Students with a love for colour, creating and collaboration proudly showed off their garments in this year's Wearable Arts competition.

They took advantage of the large audience on Open Night and transformed a classroom into a spectacular realm of ultraviolet light and fluorescent fashion. Upon entering the room, guests were fascinated by the range of creations and commented on the time and effort that students had invested into their work. The results of the public vote will be announced in the school assembly and the winner will be presented with the Wearable Arts trophy at prize-giving in Term 4. Students are now cooking up their ideas for next year's event where there will be more manageable sections for smaller projects such as masks and hats, as well as the opportunity to create a full body costume.
