We were privileged to welcome alumna Lynn Robb (née Anderson) and her husband Max back to Otago Girls' High School. Lynn presented the school with a beautifully framed photograph and Memorial Cross belonging to her Aunty, Private Frances Anderson, who attended OGHS from 1932–33.

Private Anderson gave her life serving our country during World War II, passing away in Egypt on April 19, 1942. She is laid to rest at the Heliopolis War Cemetery.

Lynn, who worked in the school office from 1983 to 1990, shared this significant part of her family’s history. Her generous gesture ensures that Frances’ sacrifice and connection to our school are remembered for generations to come.
