Celebration Service

Otago Girls’ High School will be holding its annual Celebration Service in Knox Church on Wednesday (30 October) commencing at 7:00pm. All students are expected to be at the church by 6:30pm that evening.

We will be holding a rehearsal at the church on the Wednesday morning. Girls should be at the church by 8:45am. They need to find their own way to the church but the school will organise transport back to school at the completion of the rehearsal.

All students should wear full formal winter uniform including kilt, blazer and tights for the evening service. School jersey/vest/trousers should not be worn.

Parents and friends of the school are very welcome to attend Celebration Service. Please be aware that the service is very popular with the school community and that seating will be difficult to guarantee if you arrive after 6:45pm. The service should finish at approximately 8:30pm.

Examination Leave

Year 11,12 and 13 students will be released from school on Tuesday 5 November to begin examination leave. Parents of senior students are asked to check that their daughter is very clear on her examination timetable and well prepared for each of her assessments. A tutorial programme will operate for senior students during the examination period. Students may continue to attend school to complete assessments.
