Otago Girls’ High School was proud to be part of the 34th Shakespeare Globe Centre New Zealand Victoria University of Wellington 2025 Regional Otago Festival.

Three groups of students took to the stage, performing five-minute scenes from some of Shakespeare’s most well-known works. Each scene was student-directed by our talented senior drama students, showcasing their leadership and creativity.

Our students delivered fantastic performances, demonstrating not only their acting skills but also their supportive and encouraging spirit—not just for each other but for students from other schools as well. This positive attitude was a wonderful representation of OGHS and our vibrant drama community.

For many of our performers, this was their first time experiencing the festival, making it an inspiring and exciting day, particularly for our junior students. A special shoutout to Jesakah Thom, Lily Falcous, Hannah Scoullar, and Hayley Dunn for their dedication and passion in directing these outstanding pieces.
