Last weekend we had 16 students travel up to Lower Hutt to compete at the national NZCAF Aerobics national competition. We had great success on the first day in heats with all girls qualifying for finals which was a first for Otago Girls' at nationals.

The following girls gained a placing after finals:

Abby Stevens and Alyssa Shelton gained 2nd place in Senior Teams 

Ruby McFadgen, Ella Macgillivray and Nicola McLellan gained 3rd place in Senior Teams 

Charlotte Hewson, Bridie Shelton and Nuala O'Malley King gained 2nd place in Junior Teams

Ruby Cameron and Olivia Goddard were a part of the KHR club which gained 2nd place in Fitness Teams

We also participated in a workshop on the Monday which really helped us improve our skills.
It was a weekend full of laughter and it was cool to see the interaction across the year levels. A massive thank you to our teacher in charge Miss Law and Ms Joyce for all the work they did for us over the weekend. Also a big thank you to our senior students who put in all the time and effort to coach our Otago Girls' competitors.
