Yasuda Girls' High School visit

Mr C. Durrant, HOD Languages —

Host Families Wanted!

Every year, Otago Girls’ plays host to a large contingent of Japanese students who visit for about two weeks from our sister school, Yasuda Girls’ High School, in Hiroshima, Japan.

As part of their Kiwi experience, we seek families who are prepared to host either one or two girls during their stay. The girls become part of your family, enjoying your hospitality and use the opportunity to improve their English as well.

The group will arrive in Dunedin on 27 July (Week 1, Term 3) and will stay in Dunedin until 9 August. During the day they will attend English language classes at school as well as sightsee and undertake special activities. As a host, you are asked to provide them with a clean and tidy place to stay, as well as three meals a day (including a packed lunch for school). You will be paid a small amount of $30 per night at the conclusion of the group’s visit.
