In Week 6 of Term Three, sixty one English language learners did the Speech New Zealand English for Speakers of Other Languages Oral Examinations.

The girls were divided into six different exam grades depending on their levels of English. Within those six grades, there were 21 different tasks for the students, ranging from 10  to 30 minutes to complete. Tasks ranged from a talk on oneself with a visual aid, to impromptu social speeches and role plays, to conducting a seminar. Each section was followed by questions from the examiner. Eighteen students received Distinction results, and thirty-six received Merit results. We are extremely proud of the girls who rose to the occasion and performed superbly.
