Romeo and Juliet Character Boxes
9Ce English were tasked with presenting a character box filled with objects that tell us something about that character's life. They were encouraged to explore their character's world through the use of all five senses (sight, touch, scent, hearing, taste). Some of the original items for various characters included a balcony from the balcony scene, a clay thumb, a piece of wedding cake, caricatures, a jar of 'gunpowder' to represent a fiery temper, a silk scarf to represent Juliet's soft skin, a book of chants, cupid's arrow, 'A Rickshaw Ride' and 'Greensleeves' music sheets, a 'Summary of Offences Act' booklet, green cheese and a job description!
