Over the weekend, our Otago Girls’ rowers competed at the South Island Secondary Schools Rowing Championships in Twizel, showcasing their hard work, teamwork, and determination against the best in the South Island.

Despite tough competition, our crews performed outstandingly, with several teams making the A and B Finals. A special congratulations to our U18 Novice Coxed Quad Sculls (Isla Marshall, Kiera Nicholson, Ally Ryan, Lara Cadman, and cox Ruby Merriman) and the U18 Novice Double Sculls (Kiera Nicholson and Ally Ryan) for securing 4th place in their A Finals.

Other strong performances included:

• U16 Double Sculls– 3rd in B Final (Harriet Rowe & Jaime Stibbe)

• U17 Coxed Quad Sculls – 5th in A Final (Milly Hoeta, Frances Donald, Sienna Nicholson, Ariana Osward + Ruby Merriman)

• U18 Coxed Quad Sculls – 6th in A Final (Liesel Tolson, Kate Merriman, Sienna Nicholson, Ariana Osward + Ruby Merriman)
