Year 11 Outdoor Education students enjoyed a good day out at Carey’s bay on the Otago Harbour for their final assessment as the finale of their Kayaking unit.

Despite the cool weather and brain freeze waters they did very well persevering to master and perform the required skills of paddling, as well carry out a variety of rescue techniques. Many thanks to Steve and Todd from Wild Earth Adventures and to Nick from the Otago Polytech who helped out on the day.
