Otago Secondary Schools' Swimming Championships
On Sunday 21 May, the Otago Secondary Schools' Swimming Championships were held at Moana Pool.
This year the Otago Girls' High School swim team was a record sized with many young junior talents joining us for the first time and we were a significant presence throughout the day. It was a fantastic day racing producing some amazing results. One of the highlights included our A relay team placing 2nd in the Medley and 3rd in the Freestyle. All of our swimmers either gained personal best times or top three placings. Congratulations to everyone who participated.
A huge thank you to Mrs Julie Ford for managing the swim team on the day. Julie keeps track of all the events and ensures everyone makes it to the start line in time. Julie has been managing the team for the past three years and we have appreciated her commitment to Otago Girls' High School swimming. Thank you also to Miss Young for her support and behind the scenes work every year.
