Jessie McGrouther

Kia Ora all students, teachers, and families. My name is Jessie McGrouther and I am extremely excited and honoured to be Otago Girls' head prefect for 2025. Our prefect team this year has many ideas to make this year full of fun and entertainment. My personal goal is to be someone for younger students to look up to and I want to be someone people feel like they can talk to, and give ideas and feedback to for the school. So far this year I have met some of the year 9s and my goal is to meet and get to know as many as possible. I will be going on year 9 camp which will be the perfect opportunity for this to happen. 

In my free time, I love horse riding and athletics—hammer throw and shot put, volleyball, and netball. I am super active and can't wait for this year so I can encourage others to always give their best and try new things.

I am looking forward to this year and working alongside one of my best friends Meg Allison (Deputy Head Prefect) and the rest of our amazing prefect team to ensure this year will be one to never forget. We can't wait to lead the school this year through many events and make some unforgettable memories.
