The OGHS Junior Waterpolo team of Evie Holt, Aimee Twist, Harriet Thompson, Rose Anderson, Chloe Alexander, Anna Aitcheson, Brianna Pollock, Harriet Miller, Caitlin Hewson and Emily Scott went to Blenhiem to play in the South Island Secondary Schools Championships from 20 to 25 November.

Under the great coaching of Year 13 student Ella Steel, the team had an exceptional tournament, playing better than ever, with a fantastic last game playing off for fifth and sixth place against local rival St Hilda’s Collegiate. It was a riveting last game on four all until the final 17seconds - when St Hilda’s scored the winning goal. Harriet Thompson’s non-stop ebullient nature kept the group in great spirits for the entire six days and Special Congratulations to Evie Holt who was awarded a medal for placing in the Tournament team (one of the best 7 players in the South Island Tournament).
