Cross Country

Storm Maole, Deputy Sport Prefect —

Last Friday the school competed in the annual Otago Girls' High School Cross Country.

For some this was a great feat and for others it was a breeze, but overall the school spirit was in flying colours. There were orange tutu’s, rainbow socks and a bunch of other outfits displaying the school spirit and house colours.

The junior girls had to run 2.4km and the senior girls had to run 2.7km from the Dunedin Rugby grounds  to the Dinosaur Park then along to Tahuna Park. There they were met with many cheering students and teachers.

Overall it was an awesome day to be apart of and the girls who ran or walked were encouraged by teachers and fellow students. It was so humbling to see the girls cheering for their classmates and participate to earn house points.
