Congratulations to our Scholarship winners for 2018. Eleven girls were awarded fourteen Scholarships in total.

How NCEA works

These blues are awarded to girls with the highest levels of attainment in NCEA.

Our AGM will be held next Wednesday 20 February at 7.30pm in the school library.

Last year, from the 8th to 15th of December, the three of us, Lucy Davidson, Renee Harris and Megan Threlfall, were privileged enough to go on the Otago Untouched World Foundation (UWF) Waterwise trip to Bannockburn along with Mrs Claman, Otago Girls' teacher representative.

It was reassuring to see so many students and their families at our Fono on Wednesday evening.

My name is Ada Crowe and I am the School Guidance Counsellor. I am a specialised education professional, being trained and registered as a teacher as well as trained as a counsellor with a Masters Degree in Guidance and Counselling from Massey University. I am a member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors and have regular supervision. I am a mother and a grandmother with years of experience as a parent, grandparent, teacher and counsellor.

We are looking for hosts to help us give 30 students from our sister school Yasuda Girls' High School, in Hiroshima, Japan a New Zealand homestay experience when they visit us from 26 July until 9 August.

On Tuesday 12 March the first Student Learning Conferences will take place for all Year 10 to Year 13 students in an effort to enable students to take more responsibility for their own learning and to deepen the conversations that students, parents and teachers have around student learning.

Aim: To encourage staff and students to make informed and responsible decisions about skin protection in a supportive school environment.

For one week during January, 400 students going into Years 12 and 13 from around New Zealand travelled to Dunedin to experience life as a university student.

My name is Gillianne, I’m in Year 13 and I was on exchange in Switzerland for two months over the summer.

Four days after my last NCEA exam I travelled with a group of New Zealand students to Germany to take part in an exchange. My host family lived in Aachen, a city very close to both Belgium and the Netherlands.

Sport Otago encourages and supports young people's participation in sport.

The City of Dunedin Cadet Unit is recruiting 13 to 15 year old students now for 2019.
