TERM 1 SUMMER SPORT

Term One kicks of with a hiss and a roar with summer sports entries due, meetings to hold and teams to organise for our students. We do rely heavily on volunteers to assist us with coaching our large number of sports teams. If you can help out or know of anyone that may like to coach sport for OGHS please email Ms Hokianga – hk@otagogirls.school.nz.

We are seeking Volleyball & Touch coaches for term 1 2024.

SPORTS FEES

Each year we charge sports fees to all students taking part in summer and winter sports. The majority of the fee that is charged to students goes to the regional bodies that run the different sporting competitions, hire of OGHS uniforms, replacement of uniforms and sports equipment (mainly volleyballs, netballs, basketballs, cricket gear, hockey goalie gear etc.).

The OGHS Sports Policies booklet can be found online on the Sports website and outside Ms Hokianga’s office. Please familiarise yourself with our sports polices especially around behaviour for parents and students at sporting events when representing OGHS.

SPORTS UNIFORMS AND OGHS TRACKSUITS

There are still quite a few OGHS sports uniforms and tracksuits outstanding from 2023. Please CONTINUE TO HAND THESE INTO Ms Hokianga. Please make sure that these are clean. Maybe it is also time to look under your bed, in your wardrobes and in your drawers for the OGHS sports uniforms.
