Kia ora koutou,

It has been so lovely to see all the smiling faces at both gates this week as we embark on another term. The tamariki are going to be very busy this term with various learning activities, trips and events!

Next week,  Monday 5 May at 9.30am we will have our Mihi Whakatau. This is for whānaui who are new to Ōhoka school.

On Wednesday 14 May it is our Cross Country. Information and timings are attached to this newsletter. Parents are welcome to come along and provide some sideline support for our runners. We hope to see you there.

On Friday 16 May it is Pink Shirt Day and we will be encouraging our staff and students to Kōrero Mai, Kōrero Atu, Mauri Tū, Mauri Ora – Speak up, Stand Together, Stop Bullying! Bullying in Aotearoa is a real problem. Pink Shirt Day works to reduce bullying by celebrating diversity in all its forms and supporting schools, workplaces and communities to be safe, supportive, welcoming and inclusive for everyone. Please bring a gold coin to go towards the New Zealand Mental Health Organisation.
