Welcome Back to 2026!

Welcome back to the start of another amazing year at Okains Bay School. We hope everyone has had a restful break and is ready for an exciting year ahead at our kura.

Staffing for 2026

Mrs Denton Jones will be working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, with a half day on Wednesdays.

Krystal is in the office from 9:00–1:00, Monday to Wednesday.

We are pleased to welcome Barbara Skates, who has joined our team and will be working in the mornings supporting our wonderful Harley.

Di continues her fantastic work as our cleaner and also runs the Healthy School Lunches programme — she does an incredible job.

Packy, our resident caretaker, has been very busy over the break getting the kura up to standard and ready for the year ahead.

A warm welcome also to Kaia, who joins us this year — we’re thrilled to have you with us.

Swimming with Carol

Swimming lessons with Carol begin next Monday. Please ensure tamariki bring their swimming gear to kura each day.

Music with Mr B

Mr Brittenden will be joining us on Thursday mornings, starting next week, to take music with our tamariki. He will initially be focusing on ukulele and guitar lessons.

We’re looking forward to a wonderful year of learning, laughter and growth together.
