Our thoughts and prayers go out to those up north who have had their whole lives turned upside down thanks to Cyclone Gabrielle.
The degree of damage is unfathomable and it is really uncomfortable watching on television the destruction that has taken place.
There are a number of people in our community thinking about ways in which they can help and we would like to encourage those who wish to donate, that the Red Cross has a donation page set up to help those in need at https://www.redcross.org.nz/support-us/our-current-appeals/where-the-need-is-greatest/
