Principal Okains Bay School —

Take a sneak peek into what has been happening in the coolest little school in New Zealand. Newsletter attached.

Kia ora e te whānau,

I love this time of year, with the beautiful colours appearing and the settled feeling that autumn brings. It feels as though we skipped summer and moved straight into autumn this year.

Pot Luck Dinner Evening

On Saturday 23 May, we invite everyone to a pot luck dinner at our kura. This will be a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community, farewell Donna and Peter Moore as they leave the bay, and welcome the new families who have recently joined our community.

Information about costs and what to bring is attached to this newsletter. Everyone is warmly welcome to come along, catch up with friends, and meet new people. Please RSVP (Txt or ring- 0273048629 or email office@okainsbay.school.nz) with numbers attending by Thursday 21 May.

Banks Peninsula Cross Country

Next Friday, tamariki will attend the Banks Peninsula Cross Country event at the Duvauchelle Pony Club grounds. This is a fundraiser for Duvauchelle School, so we encourage whānau to come along and support both our tamariki and the local community.

Mā te wā,

Colin, Lisa, Krystal, Di and Barbara
