Nicholas family visit our school.

Last week we have made a connection with representatives fromTawhitinui Marae which is located on Old Highway. This is very exciting for our school. Three of the members of the Marae Board attended Omokoroa No1 School. Two of the Kaumatua remember attending our school when there was only one classroom. They are members of the Nicholas family which have a long history with the Marae and Omokoroa No.1 School. To formalise and build on this relationship we are planning a Powhiri at Tawhitinui for our learning community and all students later in the year.
