Gumboot Up on Friday 5 April!
Gumboot Friday is a new initiative by New Zealander of the Year, Mike King, and I Am Hope. They are aiming to raise $2 million for kids who need some mental health support. You can find out more about Gumboot Friday at www.iamhope.org.nz/gumbootfriday
We're asking students, teachers and parents to wear gumboots to school in support of Gumboot Friday. Put your gumboots on and bring along a gold coin donation (if you can). All funds raised on the day will help provide free counselling to kids who need it.

New Zealand's mental health challenge
Last year in New Zealand 137 young people died by suicide and it is estimated another 3500 attempted to take their own lives. While Government agencies are doing their best some kids are stuck waiting up to six months to receive the counselling they so urgently need.
How much of my donation goes to kids?
100% of your donation goes to the kids. All donations are deposited by you into the Kiwibank Gumboot Friday account. The money will then go directly to the registered health professional upon receipt of an invoice.
This will ensure 100% of your money goes directly where it's needed: to kids getting the help and support they need, when they need it most.
