Library Book Damage
What to do if a school library book is damaged.
If a school library book is ripped or the pages are loose please DO NOT TAPE them back in. Ripped pages need to be mended with special tape and loose pages need to be glued back in. Please secure the loose pages in the book by paperclip or rubber band around the book and return it to the librarian who is skilled in repairing damaged books.
If a book is wet, please stand it in a warm place with the pages fanned out as best as you can and return it to the library as soon as possible. Paper goes mouldy very quickly if it is left wet so immediate action is required to save the book.
The library has a small budget every year to buy new or replace books so preserving the books we have in good order is important to maintain an attractive collection for your children to use.
