Omokoroa No.1 School —

Exploring the Quarry Park and our working on our PMP Programme.

The junior classes have enjoyed working on the Perceptual Motor Programme, PMP, each Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning. This has been possible because of the great response from the parents who help us with the programme. The children love the activities. These include developing physical skills that aim to increase children’s fine and gross motor skills, coordination, concentration, eye tracking skills, and memory through a variety of activities and games.

The classes have been studying ‘Hearing Sounds’. Each class has visited or will be visiting the Quarry Park and will play on the instruments which are in a section of the park. This park is a wonderful resource in our community area. Thank you again to our wonderful parents for providing transport and supervision.

We hope everyone has started learning from their Science-Athon list which was sent home last week. Happy learning!

Kind regards John, Sue, Jane, Sharon, Becks, Cushla, Jenna and Andrea.
