On Monday 2nd & Tuesday 3rd Sept a team of 4 Omokoroa Year 1-6 competed in NIPS.

The team consisted of Alex Cutfield, George Hunter, Hugo Horan and Chris Bryan. It was the first year we have competed and they all did incredibly well. None of the boys had raced before but gave it their all. The weather was perfect with crisp blue bird days. The first day the boys raced in GS and the second day in Dual Slalom. Thanks to Kristy Hunter and Jacs Horan who were fabulous course assistants. The team ranked 50th out of 124 teams. Individually, Alex came 30th, George 43rd and Hugo 47th out of 95 Year 1-4 boys. Chris came 137th out of 152 Year 5-6 boys. Now that we know what it entails we would love to enter more teams next year. Keep it in mind and if you and your child would be interested in competing. We will send out information early next year. You need to be a good intermediate level skiier and be proficient using a T-Bar lift.
